I have been on Gleevec almost six months now. Of the 34 side effects that I
know of, I have had 31. Most only lasted a couple of weeks and haven't been
that bad. I have even conquered the diarrhea and muscle spasms which were the
most debilitating with the help of diet

The Tasigna stopped working for Jeanie and they put her on Hydroxeria (sp)
along with the Tasigna, and her blood test numbers were still rising. The
doctor put her back on Gleevec (800 mg) and that was the last I heard from her.
I'm so concerned about her and how she's doing.
Hi SandyI never did get over the side effects that I had on Gleevec. Most
Onc. don't believe the possible side effectsor so I've found. I had
diarrhea really bad on the Gleevec and found that different foods triggered
that, so with staying away from the foods and being on meds for it,

You might mention the shortness of breath to you doctor and be checked
for fluid collecting around certain vital organs.many of us on
Gleevec have ran into a problem with fluid retention.also other
heart problems as well might be causing the shortness of breath.

as I am becoming each day that I hear more and more coming
out..and what it is going to do to those of us with Chronic
Diseases that depend upon expensive tests and drugs to live?

and representative every day to let them know your concerns. I don't
know what else we can do, but everyone better wake us fast.
