Andy,
I use a PTouch label maker.

Does it go with the grey panel, Joel? I can make labels on my computer
using clear labels and black text, but what I want is the slightly darker
grey label and white text of the standard CC panel from the early 80s.

Andrew,
My source is buried, but I did buy those labels for Corsair's panel and they
did match perfectly. I believe I just googled the item and I found them. I
will poke around in the meantime.

They make a black tape with white lettering, but I've been using white tape.

Folks,
I, as math idiot, I have a question for those a lot smarter than me or better,
who may have done something like I am planning to do. I’m in the process of
doing my budget for finishing off my refit of my 1982 CC 37 and a large part
of that will include the cost of materials for a
If the panel is a Blue Sea product I have several packages of labels left over
from replacing Calypso's panels.
Do you want me to send an image of the labels to your non cnc-list email?

Thanks, Martin, that would be great. I don't think the panel is Blue Sea,
unless that was what was used in the early 80s.

Andrew, the panels are not Blue Sea. I replaced mine with BS panels as part of
the rewiring project but in the years prior I just bought good quality new
labels and replaced the originals. Just a thought.

Dave, I painted my 35 MK I this past summer. I purchased a gal of awl grip flag
blue, and a quart of clear coat. Still have about a half gallon of flag blue
and the betterpart of a quart of clear coat that was tinted with the flag blue,
half and half. I used 2/3 of a gallon of sanding primer,
The way paint is priced, if you need 2 quarts you are generally going to
shell out about as much as for a gallon, so most people probably buy the
gallon just to be safe. I can't imagine a quart painting a 27 footer.

They don't have grey, but paneltronics.com has every possible label you
might want, individually. I redid my panel with their labels.
Tape is nice, I had that, paper labels, and something that looked like
part of a label such as one would have put on a cassette tape back when
those existed.
Dennis, Chris and Joel,
Thanks for the input. Very helpful to get some feedback on what others have
done or experienced. I found the brochure for my boat on Stu's site, did some
really nasty measurements, found some square footage calculators online and
calculated the following:
Topsides -
Dave, when you say topsides, do you mean the deck? I painted the hull between
the waterline and the sheer line only.

Chris,
Yes. Hull will be painted Jade Mist Green and after lifting off all hardware
with the exception of the toenail I'm going to spay the entire deck with Cloud
White. I assumed that you were referring to just your hull. A Flag Blue topside
would be interesting, eh? ;-)

On Feb 7,
Topsides is the area between the waterline ant the sheer.
I lost 5 bucks on that definition many years ago, and have never forgotten.

A potential difference between the AksoNobel’s estimated coverage and the
observed usage is the difference between professional spray (paint is thinned)
and DIY roll and tip.
Indeed. I just went back to the application guide and for the final top coating
they do reference both spraying and
Doh. Makes sense. Top. Sides. Topsides….
Color me a little bit smarter. Not much but a bit.

Howdy,
I want to add a bimini for my cockpit. My boat has the traveler just
forward of the wheel and the main sheet will be in the way of any decent
sized bimini.
Any 30 MK1 owners out there with a bimini that could give me some pointers?
Small is better than none I guess - or maybe I should
Hi,
I had one made for my 27 last year by Genco marine ( dodger/connector/bimini
), pretty happy with the result.
They have a few CC30 pictures on their web site ( manufacturer sorted by
alphabetical order ) so you can have an idea:

Remember the two extra feet is added at the fattest part of the boat.RonWild
