My vibrating saw (Mastercraft lithium) made quick work of the one thru hull
backing plate that was installed with 3M 5200 ... and the thru hull nuts that
had been painted over multiple times.

Umm seriously would anyone
I do not know how a desperate 6 V battery would work, I never came across one.
;-) But USB is 5.0 V nominal, not 6 V and you likely damage things if you feed
it with more than 5.25 V.

Each of these USB ports may have an always on 12v to 6v transformer inside
which may setup a little always on draw. Anyone know?
Where I work we design and manufacture transformers, mostly for aerospace. I
am not an EE but have worked with them regarding transformer efficiency. We do

Stick something long and skinny in the handle hole and push down as you pull up
on the winch body. If my 18s are the same this will work for you.

I don't know how you get the line stripper off, but the winch body on the 18s
is confined by a spring clip in a groove on the spindle shaft. The clip is like
2 turns of a slinky. You have to pick out the top end with a small screwdriver
or a knife, and then work the rest of it off bit by bit
If there are 2 holes in the top use your gas key.
