Grenadine's rig and deck hardware is all-original, old-school. No furler, lazy jacks, self-tailing winches, rope clutches. My crew has to grind and tail and cleat to horn cleats, and flake sails manually. For two years they didn't know any better because they're newbies :) But one of them

I was hoping they'd make it.  Now that we have a motel at the lake, a racing sled would be fun; used of course.  My budget can't take new.For the "no effort" crowd, maybe back to self tacking jibs and lazy jacks.  My wife is complaining about the 160% genny which I need in anything under 10kts.

If the wood is varnished, you should cut through the varnish first. Otherwise, you may pull up splinters from the wood adjoining the bung. Go to Harbor Freight. Buy a cheap set of Forstner drill bits ($10). Carefully center the correct size bit in the bung. Rotate a few times around the bung to
