+1 on Garhauer and they will modify to suit.
Holland Marine Products have stantion bases, stantions, cleats, toerail,
stripes, traveller parts, etc. available as well.

I have a 33-2 KCB, and the big difference is the area under the mast is solid
due to the different keel.
I was fortunate and had Rob MacLachlan do my pendant when it needed, a bit
finicky, but a less than an hour in the slings. We had to feed the new one as
the old broke when a friend opened
So I’m interested in a 1985 C 33-2 that is for sale near me and may still be
around when I’m boat hunting in a couple of months. I’ve read the posts on the
33-2, but have a question about the well-known mast step problems.
Some posts seem to indicate that the K/CB models don’t have the problem
Sigrid,
Congratulations on your Landfall 35 purchase.
The closest thing to Catalina Direct would be South Shore Yachts in Niagra on
the Lake Ontario, who can supply a number of C special parts. Your boat, like
mine was probably made in Rhode Island, so some items may be a bit more
I have a Ubiquity Bullet 2.4mhz titanium (IIRC). I have it connected to a
wifi router which ties into the OpenPlotter. The router re-broadcasts the
wifi internet to the boat's lan.
I have an 8 dbi weatherproof antenna. The Ubiquity is power over ethernet

Hello David,
No sorry, I only have the Build Files for the C 37/40 boats and of those,
only (most of) the build files up to No. 39 "Nina" but nothing after
that except
mine (#67) and Hull #72 (and also just the Build Certificate for No. 43. as
it was filed in the wrong folder).

Sigrid,
That sounds more like items you would get from a sailmaker. Try your local loft
- they should have everything you need (you may need to bring them your sail).
All the best,

As mentioned before, don’t go for an antenna that is overly directional (which
would give you more gain). You want at least a good 45 degrees cone.

I concur with Denis. There were many open Wi-Fi networks out there even a few
years back. Now they are substantially less available (by default, all wireless
routers , for a while, have to come preconfigured with a password protected
network). Not to mention that what many cruises used to do,
I just purchased a 1984 c 35 Landfall. I previously had a Catalina 27.
Is there a website or store to locate parts for cnc, like there is at
catalinadirect? I'm looking for battens and new leech line for mainsail,
clutches, among other things.
Thanks
Sigrid Johnson
Any chance you have 1988 C hull #115??
Best regards,

Hello Richard,
I'm not entirely sure they are all gone. I only bought this batch of 40 or

I appreciate wanting to install a WiFi antenna but you'll need to be near
an open system or hot spot. There are other options which are always
available as long as you're close to a cell phone tower.
I just use the personal hot spot on my smartphone. There are enough big

Ubiquiti Bullet M2. You won't find a lot of 5.8Ghz WiFi spots and the 2.4
is more forgiving for line of site.
A 8 or 9 dBi antenna would be good for most applications, once you get into
10dBi they can get pretty big and heavy.
The Ubiquiti gear is really top notch for the price, it's leaps and

Hi,
Has anyone installed an Omni WiFi antenna? If so;
- which model (ubiquity or otherwise), - - where did you install the antenna
(Mast, Arch, etc)
- 2.4GHz or 5GHz
- What DBi (and actual range / strength are you getting).
We’ll be spending most of the summer on the boat (with kids) .

Ken, you are to be congratulated for having the foresight to secure those
files: the former owner for my boat didn't get the build file, and when I
bought the boat, it was too late, it, )along with all of the others), had
already been destroyed.
