Hello everyone. I am trying to remove a stanchion base which was sealed with 3m 4000 in the fall under new awlgrip. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding removal. I don't want to damage the awlgrip if possible. I was thinking of a heat source at the base of the stanchion. Thanks.

Joe, Bacon's works closely with Quantum. I suspect Q will actually do the work, I bought my last two binnacle/helm covers through Bacon but Q's guys measured and sewed. The did great work on both. BTW If you buy sails from Bacon they are designed on Q's computer. Joel On Mon, Mar 26, 2018

My canvas from Genco is now 17 years old. The actual Sunbrella has held up well. I give it the treatment every year and it is as waterproof as ever and does not appear stiff or sun rotted. OTOH the threads that hold it together – not so much. My Bimini really needed some stitching to be useable
