I found some 12 v emergency lights at a Restore for $6 each. They didn't have
an incorporated switch so that cost another $5 for a small rocker switch from a
local electronics store, then replaced the bulb with an LED I got on e-Bay for
peanuts (from China). Cheap and works great.

Call Garhauer. Theirs are cheaper, great quality and service is excellent. I
went for a MT-1 traveller. Speak to Guido. You will need exact details of the
location of the bolt holes so that they can duplicate the bolt pattern of your
existing track. I will send a PM to you with a copy of my invo
Just tuned in to this string.
Has anyone recommended the Costco batteries? I use 4 x 6-volt golf cart
batteries. They are under $140 Cdn and can be replaced at any Costco outlet if
you have issues.
Another good policy someone told me about years ago is to buy all your
batteries from the same man
What boat? With our 35 Mk2 we have a hard dodger and soft bimini. Because of
the low boom we have to fold the bimini when under mainsail. Slower design
would not give sufficient headroom in the cockpit. The boom just clears the
dodger. We have solar panels mounted on the top of the bimini frame.
After seeing all the notes on the e-Bay choices I had a gander at the Amazon
listings.
Surprised to see the same Digital Yacht AIT3000 listed for $1786, $1600 and
$235, yes, $235!

The ceremonial practice is believed to originate from ancient Rome. One theory
is that, due to the dangers of early sea travel, the coins were placed under
the mast so the crew would be able to cross to the afterlife if the ship were
sunk.
I like the gatekeeper reference!

Best part way to clean thru-hulls is soaking in muriatic acid. It is hazardous
so care must be taken in handling the product. Wear gloves and use in a well
ventilated area. Depending on the condition it may take a few changes of acid
but it will clean everything completely. Rinse well with
Anyone contemplating conversion to LED should check out sources on E-Bay.
Prices are super cheap and quality is good. Search 'marine LED (+bulb type)’.
Ex. Marine LED 15s or 15d. I have replaced all of mine from E-Bay sources and
have been very satisfied.
Here is an example:

When you contact Guido, at Garhauer, he asks for all the specs on spacing of
bolts, length of track, etc, etc. Hopefully, with a few more orders for the
same track they will have a set design they can use for future orders.
