I have some weird gummy vinyl badges on my 34/36, but they are a mess and
would love to replace them.

The most accurate method would be to do a "rubbing" with crayon, i.e. like
an elementary school gravestone rubbing, and scanned at full scale. The
gentleman on the list with CAD/CAM capabilities could trace this in Adobe
Illustrator or CAD and used as a base file for CAM. Just remember to get

I can measure / take pictures of mine when I get to the boat next (Should
be this weekend)
Mine appear to be in pristine condition as they are under the dodger side
flaps. (Probably have been protected that way since new)

Hello David,
As the Stainless Steel name plates shown are on my boat I can tell you the
following:
The other style shown while not photographed straight on could also be made
easily but it is not clear from the photos how deep the letters go, i.e.
all the way through like a water jet would produc
Josh,
The original comes off pretty easily. That’s what started this whole thing for
me :-)
They were glued in — nothing through the deck. I would probably want to do the
same with the new ones.
I would love a flat stainless version that I could use to put vinyl letters on
like “ENTERPRISE”
I'm with Edd, I'd like the polished with recessed letters. I only posted
the pictures of the originals to give perspective and an idea of what it
looked like from the factory. Ken Heaton is the man for more pictures and
specs. Those polished pictures are from his boat. I envision this "plate"

David,
I can draw up some specs for you. You’re correct, the originals had the letters
and “C&C sword” glued on. I, for one, would love a couple of blank stainless
plates to go there, but some listers may want “C&C 37+” or “C&C 37XL”, etc on
them.
I’m not sure, but the 34+, XL and R may have/
I am a machinist and I have access to CNC machines, 3D solid modeling software
and CAD/CAM software. I would be interested in looking at this project and I
think either of the styles shown in the pictures would be do-able.
I personally like what may be the original version with the raised letters

The desired outcome is shown in two of the pictures. The pics came from
Ken Heaton but the plaques were there from the PO so he doesn't know
who/how they were made. I think once we find a manufacturer there is a

I have the stainless steel ones but was not able to learn where they came
from. They were on the boat when I bought it. I did ask one of the former
owners but they were put on after his time. I suspect someone with a CNC
mill in a machine shop made them.

Listers,
I think this was covered a couple of years ago, but can't find it.
I'm looking to replace the broken plates that are on the sides of the cabin.
They are long, rectangular, with curved corners and they had a raised "C&C 37+"
on it.
I seem to remember someone getting a steel version s
