Rod aka "Mainesail" is the guy who developed it along with another company.
He survived a stroke last year. He closed down but is now it starting to have
it made again.
The factory he had custom making it is backlogged with other clients.
A production run is in the queue.

Looking to buy a new roll of Bed-it butyl tape. Anybody buy it recently?
Seems the old supplier has a dead end link to "sailboatowners.com".
I tried a few google searches but they were all dead ends except one selling a
roll for $40. I have a roll from SailRite that is crap. It was fine when
I went to the web site that this forum
recommended to purchase a roll of Bed-It tape and did not find that the
tape was available. Did /Marine how to/ get out of the Butyl tape
business? Is there a recommended alternate ?
