Not a huge fan of the solent solution. For light air, I think you are far better off with a furling spinnaker, Doyle UPS, etc. For a storm sail solution it really depends. For constant use a dedicated inner forestay is preferable. For the cruising I did, (offshore to the BVI followed by isla
