I have a 3GM30F and according to Yanmar's recommendation you should cruise
@ 80% of max RPM which works out to 2850 RPM's for me. Reading the Torque /
HP dyno curve and fuel consumption provided that's spot-on max Torque and
the most efficient fuel consumption. It's also the sweet spot from a
vibration standpoint

I also run it @ max throttle for at least 5-10 minutes every time I go out

A couple weeks ago I had a pleasant surprise with the engine firing
instantly after sitting 12 weeks in the yard for the refit. I guess the
Diesel Kleen Power Service fuel treatment I used last fall / winter finally
de-gunked the injectors. I hope it keeps being sweet.
