James and Wally...The rubrail on my LF38 is pretty beat up. I agree that it is under the toe rail and would be a big whup to replace. What about just cutting it off flush and adding a standard rub rail? Probably one of those vibrating cutters would make short work of it especially after you got started. The question is: What do you put over it and how do you attach it? The standard motor boat rub rails are a channel with a replaceable insert screwed into the fiberglass. With maybe some butyl bedding it might be a reasonable enhancement? So, what is wrong with this option? ...not that I would look forward toit..
