of your wind. Sailind down to San Diego in 2-10kts of wind makes for a long
motor. Heading out the Straits of Juan de Fuca we beat head on into 19kts of
wind. Turned the corner at Cape Flattery today, we were able to

On Thursday I secured Briar Patch l. Removed main and Genoa and doubled dock
lines. The new harbor is floating docks with perhaps 18 feet rise. It takes
some of the anxiety out of hurricanes.

Boric acid is very effective, but the spiders have to come into direct
contact with it for it to work. I use it in the garden and it protects
against all but squirrels and neglect. Spiders may be less likely to wander
into it though.
For backpacking, I spray permethrin on shoes/pants to knock out

I have been told that boric acid works because it clings to their legs
.However spiders do not clean their legs so they do not ingest it.Might
want to research and confirm.We use spider spray and dryer sheets .

I do not know about using Boric Acid with spiders, but I know my brother is
in Dunkirk, NY and they have mucho spiders there. He uses peppermint oil,
and it seems to work pretty well. He dabs soaked cotton balls around the
compalionway, hatches, and portholes, and I believe docklines.

mast height! YIKES! I have never been in waves higher than the boat is long and
