hahaha, the original thread was about my '71, which doesn't have glass. It's
more of an original hatch cover made from fiberglass that covers a 2" tall lip
all around the opening.

I pre-oil the boards before shipping with a cutting board oil from
Amazon. I believe linseed oil and beeswax are good preservatives.
Mineral oil okay as long as it it food grade.
No matter what would is used, they should be oiled regularly to prevent
drying out and splitting.
