Looking for some help with my bilge filling every two days or so. I pulled up all of the floor boards this past weekend on my 1980 C 40. All of the through hulls are dry - none are leaking. But the bilge water level just slowly creeps up. I'm guessing the issue is with the keel or keel bolts
I hang a zinc over the side that connects via alligator clip to the negative battery terminal. I go through two zinc fishes a year. This tells me it must be doing something.-DaveTerrapin FlyerNew Haven

Also check out Charles Gruetzner - 845-216-0497. He just surveyed a C 40 on the Hudson around Croton area.

I have a 1980 C 40 - somehow the pelican hook worked it's way off the lifeline gate. I need to replace. Went to local West Marine and the one hook that have does not match my threading. Does anyone happen to know the thread spec for the hook? I see Defender does offer a few options.
I had the good fortune to meet Chuck at Defenders big Spring sale last month. He graciously spent more than thirty minutes helping me procure the proper line and splicing services for my needs. He was detailed in his explanations of the different offerings while never steering me to his product
Not to brag too much but we have five C's in slips at the Pequonnock YC in New Haven. We have our own rendezvous regularly.--DaveC 40 (1980)Terrapin Flyer

Living aboard here in New Haven this winter. The agitator (situated at the bow) has been working overtime the past few weeks. Hope to give it a break in the next day or to. Bow is free but ice is rubbing on the rudder. not good.Other than the harbor freezing over living aboard has been easy.
