Re: Stus-List Now fuel fill

2020-03-25 Thread David Risch via CnC-List
I have the whistler...works great with fuel dock pumps. But with my
"ginormous" 20 gal. tankage I jerry fill often. The whistle needs air and the
jerry flow does not provide.

I may do the T off the vent or make my own no-spill. Found the parts from a
description from another DIYer elsewhere.

I have been looking after seeing all this Dave, and it looks like the suction
cup one is A Davis. West has a YouTube video on it, but cannot find it on their
site.
Also, there is a whistler,
https://www.westmarine.com/buy/ocean-accessories--fuel-fill-warning-whistle-
-9396706
and a gurgler,
https://www.westmarine.com/buy/attwood--fuel-vent-line-surge-protector--3038
51?recordNum=2
the guy with the gurgler sez get the whistler, and the whistler owners are not
all that impressed.
I think you probably just need to get familiar with them.

We have a container that looks like a rectangular bottle which suction mounts
to the side of the boat over the vent. It catches little dribbles if one is not
too attentive to the gurgle. After tidying up, you remove he screw cap and put
the dribbles into the fill. Works pretty well. It is required for filling at
our club fuel dock.

T.G. Manufacturing, Inc. in Hammonton, NJ used to make one, back in 1997.
It was called "THE GAS GUZZLER" and was trademark by T.G. Manufacturing,
Inc. It looked very much like the Davis version.
