It is an environmentally hazard chemical. Use only what you need and change
only if you are absolutely certain that you need to. Changing prematurely
just to feel good about servicing your vehicle may not actually be good

I have seen auto parts stores with "used oil" tanks. I feel like they also
had a "used antifreeze" tank too. Might want to give your local store a
call.

Dennis,
I appreciate the effort, but I live just into the next county from Milwaukee in
a suburb that does not seem to think recycling is important. At one time, I
lived in the city and visited the locations in the link often. Unfortunately,

In Oregon there are places that recycle all kinds of "stuff" - batteries,
paint, oil, antifreeze, compact florescent bulbs. You get the picture. Try
Googling Milwaukee hazardous waste recycling. There are several places that
will probably take the antifreeze.

This is a tangent off the original question, but does anyone know what
to do with the old antifreeze? My city will take motor oil but not antifreeze.
It’s been holding me back from changing it out lately, but I really need to
do in the spring.
Thanks,

Hi Dwight:
I have enough 'fun' with the boat since hauledI don't need another

lifted, so I started wet sanding with 40 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper,

I would say in your case robert not very often. Check the freezing point
around here if its -20c or below good to go. Only other thing is depletion
of corosion inhibitors i would also say your antifreeze is good on that. I
use Prestone conc and dilute to 50/50 with distilled water. I had to
Hello Robert,
Below is a post I put on the board about a month ago, which speaks to the issue
of the coolant itself. Your boat may be sufficiently old that all its ever had
