My Microwave went this summer with a big bang. I can't remember if it was
at the dock or on the Inverter, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if
shitty AC could have degraded it.
It was a pretty nice one too. My next Inverter/Charger will be true Sine
Wave.

Maybe all you need is an inverter, they don’t cost too much. I have had a 300
watt inverter for ages and added a 1,000 watt inverter for bigger tools and the
admiral’s hair dryer. The smaller one is better
I have a Vintage Melitta percolator. Uses 900watts. Just under my 1000
watt inverter rating. I have resuscitated it several times.
I like it because the pot lifts off the base. Easy to carry it out of the
galley to pour.
