Does the sheet go to the left inside the boom, or to the right? If it goes to the left, the sheet should enter the sheave on the right side. Alan Bergen 35 Mk III Thirsty Rose City YC Portland, OR On Sat, Oct 8, 2016 at 7:26 AM, Joel Aronson via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > Brian,

Tom, Running a diesel like that under no-load conditions won’t help it much. Running it at the slip in gear would provide some load to the engine and be more beneficial. We usually have a 45 to 60 minute motor to the race course, which helps keep the engine in top shape. I usually set it

Brian I can’t tell from the photo, the direction of the boom, eg, is the gooseneck on the left or the right of the photo? Maybe the exit block is mounted in the wrong direction? I know it is a stupid question, but maybe some how it got turned around. It looks like some serious chafing!

We have our “big boat” in the same marina as Steve’s 36. For the most part, everyone fared well (from the videos our dockmate sent). A couple boats on D dock came loose but not lost, Steve. A lot of torn canvas on the power boats and popped dock cleats, but from what we hear, that's about it.

In all pictures the goose neck is to the right. In one I removed the device from the boom and you can see the device is incapable of being reversed.(that was my first thought and the reason for removing it). I guess there are only 2 possibilities left: either the sheet or the sheave are too big,
