Stop 37 is at the Etobicoke Yacht Club. (EYC). When I was a member there, I 
don’t recall it participating in the weeknight club races, which is consistent 
with the info in the ad. While I don’t know how well the boat has been 
maintained, I don’t think you have to worry about “rode hard and put away wet.” 
 There are at least two listers who are members at EYC. Perhaps they can shed 
more light on the current status. If you’d like a condition assessment based on 
a visual from the finger dock. Let me know, I’m at the adjacent club now.

 

As an aside, my sense is that the price of Canadian boats has not changed with 
the strengthening of the US dollar, consequently boats close to border are good 
value for US buyers. Also our season is May to Oct., or really just July and 
August, so boats have minimal use,

It just came up on Yachtworld and I'm interested.  :)  But it's a long way for 
me to travel if it's been rode hard and put away wet.

there was a 1989 C 37+ for sale in Mattapoisett for over a year.  they 
started at $75k and ended up selling it for $50k. I've become friendly 
with a guy in Mattapoisett that is good friends with the couple that 
owned the 37+.  They had already bought a new boat and just wanted it 
gone.  So, the price kept coming down.


I looked at the boat when it first popped up.  I was reluctant because 
of the deep draft.  The boat was in impeccable condition. It did need 
Sails and the rig had not been serviced and she had no canvas over the 
cockpit.  I think it sold over last winter.  The interior was in really 
nice shape.


I'm just hoping that ads some perspective.
