in her backyard, which is not visible from the street, in the Stonemoor

There were 8 Golden-crowned Kinglets ( FOS ) ,all but one males ,
feeding in willow carr along Monument Creek , Glen Park , Palmer Lake this
afternoon. Other typical foothill species included Bushtits , Western Scrub
Jays ,
Blue Jays , Chickadees , Song Sparrows , Pygmy
Hi all,
I had occasion to make a short but intensive search for the
Golden-crowned Sparrow that has overwintered at Tunnel Drive, just
west of Canon City. After nearly an hour and a half of searching, not
long before I was going to give up, I managed to relocate it. Thanks

I haven't seen anything about this here so I thought I'd mention it. There are
now three hatched Bald Eagle chicks in the nest at Xcel Energy's Fort St Vrain
station in Platteville Colorado. If you look at today's daily pics, under the
3pm time in the last three frames you will
Went out to check on the Gray Horned Owl pair nesting along the Golden bike
trail. One furry little owlet peaking over the edge of the nest. Looked
like just one with mom, but could be more. Dad was on his usual perch
nearby.

A Sage Thrasher was in the greasewood NE of Hooper today. This species is a
fairly common breeder in San Luis Valley. Also, at Sand Dunes Pool, there was
aa Mountain Bluebird, right on schedule.
