Yesterday I took advantage of a little cooling to look for the Long-billed
Curlew family I found just over a week ago in northern Otero County. I
refound them about a quarter mile from where I had seen them before. I
first found the adult male then spotted a chick, both on the banks of a
canal
June 25th:
Boyd Lake State Park:
Killdeer in abundance - high percentage young of the year.
2 Horned Grebes and one Gadwall Duck.
Western Grebes feeding their Grebelings. A New Word? I could be tossed
out of the Bird Watchers World for that!
