Hi All,
Several of us gathered at Red Rocks this morning. Between 7 8 the
Harris's Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, and Golden-crowned Sparrow
appeared at the Trading Post feeders. We didn't wait around for
the Curve-billed Thrasher to show, but I did see it on Wed. morning,
The Eastern Bluebird left us. We haven't seen him since the day that the
Western battled him and claimed the female.
Too bad.

Nancy Hatch asked me to post the Clark’s Nutcracker sites that Cobirders
contributed onCobirds, so here’s the list (minus two personal residences).
Nutcrackers occurin a lot of places, so you'll see them sooner or later.

Today at 11:30 I was walking down my street (Coronado) when I heard
the Pine Warbler singing in a crabapple tree. After hearing his
beautiful call a song rings through the neighborhood identical to the
first one from the Pine Warbler the sound did not come from the Pine
Warbler I was watching and
All,
For such a big report I feel the need for asking other possibilities
besides such a rare bird for this area. I can tell it is not a Junco
from comparing the two calls and I can't think of anythings else so if
anybody has any suggestions I am all ears.

The Arkansas Valley Audubon group led by Mark Yeager this morning, found two

I am pretty sure this is a Merlin that I saw at the Garden of the Gods
park this morning. The bird was in the trees just slightly north of
Mothers Chapel.

Hi COBirders,
I watched from the heights for a few midday hours on Friday and Saturday,
before being blown off by the gusts.
Still, not many migrants seen.

While driving to Hotchkiss today (Sat, March 19), I spotted what looked like
a flock of Sandhill Cranes so pulled over. Sure enough 24 were heading
downstream over the North Fork of the Gunnison River in the general
direction of Hart's Basin (aka Fruitgrowers Reservoir). While glassing the
Hello all,
In response to Jason Beason's report of a Swainson's Hawk on March 19 in Delta
Co., my own personal earliest observation was March 16 (in 1969 in Morgan Co.).
Others may have similar early observations, perhaps even earlier in March.

All,
So today a few witnesses (my friend and Cree) saw the Pine Warbler
with me and we also heard what we thought to be identical to the Pine
Warbler call. After that we headed out in search of it after about 3
hours we had had our share. We were shure that we heared two of the
same birds thought
