Saw my FOS northern shrike yesterday and a small flock of American tree sparrows today near the Wildlife office in the El Paso Co portion of Ft. Carson off Hwy 115. Also have blue jays, Steller's jays, and western scrub jays, as well as Oregon, slate-colored, pink-sided, and gray-headed juncos.

Birds I found at Last Chance, the Oasis and behind the motel today from 9-10:30. Downy Woodpecker 1 Northern Shrike 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 American Robin 4 White-crowned Sparrow 2 Dark-eyed Junco 6 House Sparrow - 25 Joe Roller, Denver Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas.

The 2011 Evergreen/ID Springs CBC was No. 1 in the U.S. for MOCH (587) and PYNU (723) again!! Congratulations! We usually get the highest counts for these two every CBC! Any other consistent CBC species highs in CO? Next year we can search the electronic copy to find out! Kay

Hi Cobirders. Did anyone see the Nelson's Sparrow today at Chico Basin? A birder /driver and I in my car a Suberu Forester plan to go tomorrow arriving between 10 and 11 AM . I hope it is still there of course but will check birds there also. Any help finding it will be appreciated .
