Birds at my backyard feeders mirrored those of other reports; only unusual
sighting was on Friday 3/22 when 7 bushtits visited my seed and suet.
Yesterday birds ate voraciously all day during the storm.
While filling feeders this morning, a chickadee came in for a sunflower seed
twelve inches

Hi all,
I went over to the Osprey Picnic Area, below Pueblo Reservoir dam just a little
bit ago. I saw six Cliff Swallows and one Barn Swallow along the Arkansas
River. I didn't see any Tree Swallows with them. There were a small flock of
Western Bluebirds, two Ospreys, lots of Say's

Rick Reynolds has been doing cutting edge research on the northern
goshawk for over 21 years. His focal areas are the beautiful Kaibab
Plateau and the north rim of the Grand Canyon of the
Michael Kiessig, Rob Raker and I enjoyed a nice morning at Red Rocks.
Lots of hungry birds at the feeders behind the Red Rocks Trading Post
early this morning - both the Slate-colored Fox Sparrow and the Golden-
crowned Sparrow showed up. The Golden-crowned put in an appearance
early and
had a pair today near an apparent old nest in mid-town fort collins, just NW of
College and Drake. Female was kekking from nearby perch, male was seen flying
off with stick in beak. Seemed early for nest-building, especially with all
the snow on the ground.

In Rio Grande County, March 25 - American Bittern was on east side of MVNWR
auto tour road tour road toward SE end in wet shallow area about 4 p.m. today.
Normal waterfowl slowly increasing. Raptors increasing and had an influx of
Mtn. Bluebirds today.

Cathy Sheeter and I did some birding in various bodies of water n and s of
Greeley.
The pond along Weld Co Rd 46 near 37 was shrouded in fog at sunrise, or
Folks- I tooled around a little today on dirt roads north of Longmont, mainly
tracing the rural roads I know from my CBC territory there. I witnessed a bit
of the changing of the guard, seeing two newly arrived Turkey Vultures (yeah,
not really raptors but how about raptor-like?) and two
