Hello, Birders.
Earlier this Mother's Day morning, Sunday, May 12th, Hannah and Andrew and I
heard, saw, and audio-recorded a persistently singing Eastern Phoebe at the
63rd/61st Street Crossing, St. Vrain River, near Hygiene, Boulder County.
It's interesting that, until 2011, Eastern Phoebe
We have had a dearth of birds at lake Estes this spring. But this morning
we saw a breeding plumage eastern Palm Warbler in the bird sanctuary. The
bird was moving around and not staying in one area.

I saw a solitary vireo that had full white spectacles (stripe+eye ring),
a tinge of faint yellow on the sides, a very white throat, a greenish back,
a grayish head, and two distinct white or buffy wingbars. the bird was
silent the entire time I observed it. It was just north of the CSU
Apologies...
I re-read my message and realized it wasn't clear. This bird was about 100
yds north of the ELC parking lot, on the bike path (not a foot trail),
across from that little bench, between the bike path and the creek.

Brandon Percival received a message today (Sunday) that a birder friend had
seen a male CERULEAN WARBLER with other migrant

Logan Cemetery at about 4 PM and stayed an hour.
It was peaceful. The neat array of identical, white,

Holy crap! With all the incredible reports coming in from all
over the state, I wonder whether it was worth it to post. After reading
the Two Buttes reports, I mulled over throwing my bird book out the
window. In any event, I know there's some small competition going on
Had a nice variety of species to share with the 100+ who people who

Sorry for the barrage of varied emails re: SE Colorado this weekend
I won't duplicate my email re: Friday in Bent.
I will repeat myself in giving a million thank you's to Duane Nelson for
guiding us about on Friday and for the use of his binoculars, without which,

I refound the White-throated Sparrow again this morning several hundred
yards west of the McKenzie parking area for the Canon City Riverwalk. I
finally got a photo of this bird as it scratched through the leaf litter.
I have uploaded the photo to my Birds and Nature
I started and ended the day at Lamar CC grove (with Austin Hess et al) and
found the migrants here much more plentiful than other migration hotspots
further west in Bent County, around the edges of John Martin Reservoir. This
morning, highlights were 2 SUMMER TANAGERS. This evening, highlights
COBirders,
Brad Steger and I did just a little birding today in Lincoln county. We only
really birded Kinney Lake SWA and Hugo SWA. At Hugo the highlight was a male
HOODED WARBLER. At Kinney the highlight by far was the RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW
that Brad found.

Hi all,This morning there was one male alternate plumage Summer Tanager in my
yard. He was with some Yellow-rumped Warblers. The bird was feeding high up in
an Elm tree. Yellow-rumped warblers were hanging out in the yard also, as they
have been doing for the last several days. The bird
