heard last month in Morgan, Washington, and Yuma Counties while doing BBS
routes were all similar to SeEtta's Canon City area recording. In those

I stopped by Holcim Wetlands east of Florence this morning. From a high
point in parking area I was able to spot the TRICOLORED HERON
intermittantly as it foraged on the west side of the wetlands.

Our neighbor, Rhonda Lancaster, emailed me today, I was sitting on our deck
last night and saw our first Rufous hummer come to the feeder! Boy did it make
an entrance - very noisy and aggressive and had that coppery color.
So, finally, they have started to show up in this part of the state.
