Fall passerine migration is well underway at Jackson Reservoir. Birds
along the inlet canal today (Aug 21) included a Cassin's Vireo, an
Olive-Sided Flycatcher, a Western Tanager, Empids, and a couple of Wilson's
Warblers. In the campground groves, there were a couple of GREAT CRESTED

The sub-adult white morph Reddish Egret was present and seen by numerous
birders at Lake Hasty, below the dam at John Martin Reservoir, Bent
County, on 8/21/13. This bird is very active, both in canopy-feeding and
fishing locations, but prefers the areas near the isthmus dividing the
