Warblers on the Canon City Riverwalk between Sell's Lake and Raynold's
trailheads. There were at least 50 Wilson's Warblers in just two patches

Nothing moving in our neck of the woods. We banded 8 birds this morning, 2
of which (the House Wrens) are summer residents, so only 6 birds that were
migrating through. Hope the little change in weather that is occuring as I
type this makes a difference.
Dusky Flycatcher 1

First, if you have not seen http://hint.fm/wind/ before, it shows wind
speeds and directions on a map of the country.
Currently, there is a strong, nnw direction to the east of the front range.
That seems conducive to grounding migrants from north and west of CO. Has
anyone noticed this?
Greetings All
There was a male Mexican Duck this afternoon, nice fresh plumage, lounging with
Mallards ranging from spiffy to scruffy at the Firestone Gravel Pits. This bird
was in the same pond that, with more water in it, had the RN Grebes during late
winter and early spring this year.
