LITTLE GULL being seen off West Fishing Road looking south. One Sabine's Gull
as well. Lesser Black-backed Gull near the island and Laughing Gull seen as
well.

There is an adult Western Gull at Timnath Reservoir. Also, Lesser Black-backed
Gull. The Western is larger, has no head markings, short winged, orange-yellow
bill, small eyes look

Early this am(7am) while replacing the hummingbird solution, I noticed a female
Rose-breasted Grosbeak trying to chisel sunflower seeds from the ice. I went
down to the yard and put in fresh sunflowers in the feeder. The bird didn't

First of all, a BIG thanks to Rich Miller for reporting and finding the Little
Gull and all yesterday at Pueblo Reservoir.
A crowd of birders from all over Colorado were able to see the following birds
around Pueblo Reservoir, Pueblo County, this morning, 5 October 2013.

What is a Big Sit you ask?
Well a Big Sit is similar to the birding event called a Big Day, in both
events participants try to count as many species as possible, the difference
is that in a Big Day you travel all over a geographical area whereas during
a Big Sit you sit

I appreciate the partial credit that I was given for finding the Red
Phalarope but I have to say that Bill was on the bird before I could get
out of my car.

Hi Cobirders. My feet have healed for 2 weeks and I am back into
shoes. My son Bob took me and my rolator to Chatfield State Park
from 11 AM to 2PM. We did not find the Red Phalerope or Sabine Gulls.
The reservoir covered with White Pelicans al least 250, two flocks
of Double=crested
