At Chatfield SP on Mar 9...A female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was with Commons
off Catfish Flat picnic area, three BALD EAGLES were on the ice shelf
there, and a SAY'S PHOEBE was near the Catfish Flat parking lot. The
riparian of the Platte River delta area had a male Audubon's YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLER
On today's weekly Boulder Bird Club trip, we found a pair of Cinnamon Teal
at Cottonwood and a very striking uniformly dark hawk with a whitish tail
ending in a narrow, well-defined black band in the trees bordering Dodd
Reservoir, presumably a first year dark phase Red-tail.

I'm visiting Aspen and today I wanted to get to the Snowmass hotspot to try for
X Rosy-Finches. Annoyingly enough once I got to Snowmass base I was told that
non skiers/snowboarders can no longer take the lift to Sam's Knob or Elk Camp.
