The hummingbird just arrived for her early morning feed, surviving a night
(not as cold as the prior) getting down to 30 degrees.
I may not be at home today, but visitors are welcome to come up on the
deck. The bird will feed with humans sitting (photographing) on the deck,
but please don't go
Looks like a Blue-throated to me also. Can't see rufous on a Mag, but in one
picture I felt I saw much rusty on back and wings. More pictures, please :)

She also suggests that Adam use a 3:1 sugar mixture to encourage the bird to

Randy Lenrtz and I saw a Red-necked Grebe at Cherry Creek Res from the east
side, south of the swim beach, from the picnic tables all in a row, at 11:00
this morning. The grebe was swimming amongst Western Grebes,first noticed by
dingy gray neck, whitish cheeks and long-ish bill (not as

bufflehead.

I birded parts of the CSU campus today. On the west side of the arboretum,
I got a good but brief look at a 'Red' Fox Sparrow on the ground near the
fence line. It was maybe a couple hundred feet north of Lake St. I am
