in Fort Collins, CO. As you turn off Prospect south onto Sharp Point,
the ponds are on your left. The 1st pond had tons of White-cheeked
geese, Mallard, Widgeon, Shoveler, and 6
I tried to post earlier but couldn't remember the requirements for posting.
At about 11am this morning we found a 1st year Sandhill Crane in the cow
pasture next to prospect ponds. We missed the Greater White-fronted by
several minutes apparently. Scope photos on the CFO Facebook page.

Clif and Pearle found and photographed at least 80 rosy-finches coming to drink
early this afternoon, at the pool, below Pueblo Reservoir dam, south of the
Arkansas River. Margie Joy and I were able to see 12, which flew off to parts
unknown around 3pm. Hopefully they will come back tomorrow

I went back to Park County on Tuesday Dec 2 to see what I could find, and
also because as of Dec 1 there were no complete eBird checklists ever
submitted for the county in the first week of December. Now there will be a
bunch, once I submit my many lists from Tuesday. This spotlights an
This morning, there was a White-throated Sparrow at feeders at Red Rocks
Trading Post. This tan-morphed bird was seen along with the adult
Golden-crowned Sparrow, 5 Cassin's Finches, 10 Pine Siskens, and all the other
regulars Red Rock birds. I did not see the Fox Sparrow or Harris's Sparrow.
On Monday I spotted a Prairie Falcon on H87 not far south of Academy Blvd.
And today I spotted one on my way to Pueblo in Pueblo County on H96 east of
Custer County. Strange how coincidence happens-I hadn't seen a Prairie
Falcon in Colorado all year. I did get photos of the Pueblo County falcon
