Hi Everyone,
I understand that California Condor N8 was seen in a private yard in Los Alamos
on Friday 4/24. First NM record since prehistoric times.

It was drizzling and 43 when I got to Chatfield at 6:30 this morning, so we

I have been down here since 4/18. The weather has been odd, to say the least,
as is the tree leafing-out/insect situation. It was been fairly cool this
whole visit, with the highest temps being just barely over 80. That's frigid
for Lamar. It has been blustery at times but not too bad. The

It seemed to be foraging on the ground for insects or worms.

This morning, around 7:30 a.m., I came upon a flock of about 16 red
crossbill feeding in the spruce in the northeast edge of Cheesman Park. The
birds did not appear to stay long, moving out toward the southwest edge. My
dog and I failed to relocate them there on our way out of the park, but we
Hi COBirders,
Even though it was pouring in NW Colorado Springs this morning, it was just
drizzly and windy with a low ceiling for banding south of Fountain. Small birds
were moving north all morning, although most were staying up in the cottonwoods.

Hello, Birders.
As we all know, rain=shorebirds, and so it was this soggy Sunday, Apr. 26

But Clover Basin Reservoir was good, with 58 *marbled godwits*, by far the

While looking along the Main reservoir trail, I did hear a song that fit what I
had heard on my Ibird app for a golden winged warbler. I looked up, saw
black-and-white on the face, some white underneath the chin and a heavy golden
bar on the wing. There was no yellow in the tail.
I saw the
Hi all,
