The 3 Swans previously reported were again seen today flying around the
reservoir, but were last seen by Tuesday Birders flying south over the gun range
3+ female type Red-breasted Mergansers seen in northern half
1 Common Loon still present, last seen at boat launch area.

Four birders had close up looks at the first winter female Chestnut-sided
Warbler that has been reported by others at Fountain Creek Regional Park in
Colorado Springs (11:30 AM). The bird was foraging in leaves on the ground
near Mile Marker 18 (between the trail and Fountain Creek). After

Boomerang the adult female now (23) year old Great Black-backed Gull is back
for its 22nd winter in a row at Pueblo Reservoir, sitting on the South Shore
Marina tires. It should be here until mid February if she keeps to its regular
schedule.
