A tour of Loveland and vicinity today found gull concentrations at the county
landfill and Horseshoe Lake. Both sites had hundreds of California and
Ring-billed Gulls and a dozen or so Herring Gull. The landfill also had 4

I discovered a male COMMON REDPOLL embedded in a large flock of Pine Siskins at
my feeding tray this snowy Saturday morn. Unfortunately, when I went to
retrieve my camera the bird had flushed and hasn't been spotted since. I'll
keep a sharp eye for it today, as I hope given the weather
We were pleased to see the return of whitey wing, a male Red-winged
Blackbird with pure white left side primaries. We first saw him in 2010 and
photographed him. He was an adult at that time. So he is at least 7 years

My favorite was the of the two, side by side, Sandhill Cranes, each looking the
