Had a very strange experience today walking on the grassy area just north
and west of Prospect Lake, Memorial Park, Colorado Springs. As I was
walking along, a female Wood Duck played like she was injured and moved
away from me fluttering her wings somewhat similar to what killdeer will

This morning, the White-eyed Vireo at deKoevend Park in Centennial
(Arapahoe) was singing from a row of trees between the High Line Canal
Trail and some playing fields at the park. This is in the same general area
where the bird has been seen and heard since May 18; however, it's a bit
