Continued slow banding, but today under cool and cloudy conditions. We
were excited to catch a quite lovely young MAGNOLIA WARBLER. Here's the
breakdown of the 15 new for the day:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
Magnolia Warbler 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler,

So, we did manage to trap and band the* Northern Saw-whet Owl* that we
heard calling yesterday morning and even after his release today, he was
heard calling for almost the next hour or so, although no one was able to
successfully find and resight him. That brings our total of NSWO
No Red Phalarope
Yes, 3 Red-necked Phalaropes
Crow was slow
Eaton Cemetery was lively , including a Nashville Warbler

At noon today I spotted an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull in the northwest
corner of Timnath Reservoir.
It was associating with the group of gulls that also contained several
California Gulls and a couple of
dozen Ring-billed Gulls.
