COBirders,
With Linda Hodges this AM, we had White-throated Sparrow at feeders at Bear
Creek Nature Center. Not sure if same indiv from Jan or so, but it's in
breeding plumage now.
Also hummingbirds today, and Osprey flying up Bear Creek 2 days ago.

This evening, at about 5:30 pm, while I was waiting for my wife to get off

Get ready, the hummingbirds are coming!
Yes! I love
Apologies, but upon further review . . . the photos show this to be not the
male yellow-bellied sapsucker seen in exactly the same place on April 1 (in

I was down at Marshall Marsh this morning, and saw several tree swallows.

At 11 am today John Breitsch found a Least Sandpiper for our DFO field trip
group. It was on the east shoreline of the small playa along the Woodland
Trail. No other shorebirds were present at the Arsenal except 2 Avocets near
the entrance road. It showed the bright yellow legs and extensive
My FOS *Broad-tailed Hummingbird* showed up in my Ken Caryl Valley yard
this morning. This is my 4th spring there, and my three prior arrivals were
April 12, April 8 and April 13, so not too different from those prior
years. A *Wilson's Snipe* was at Massey Draw below my home on 4/6, almost

I am looking to buy a new spotting scope and want to look at them. I can
not find a local dealer for Leica scopes. If anyone knows of a store that
carries them, please contact me.
