Took a brief walk at Stearn’s Lake this afternoon. A single juvenile Tundra
Swan from the previously reported group remained among the hoards of Cackling
Geese. A single white head also stood out from the Cackling Geese and appeared
to be a Ross’s x Cackling.

Glenn Walbek and I headed up to Park county today to do a bit of birding. We
got a bit of a late start (my fault), so only focused on the three large bodies
of water. It was supposed to be clam for the first half of the day and as we

This morning at 10:40 I saw a single Common Redpoll on the CU South
property in South Boulder, which is accessed off South Boulder Road just
west of Hwy US 36. From the parking lot take the main loop going south, and
then turn east. Just after the trail that goes further south to the
A Pacific Loon was floating cooperatively on the body of water closest to
the Legion Park overlook in Boulder at 11:15 Friday. Steve Chang and I had
good looks at it through a spotting scope.
