Not as many birds today, but a continued great mix of species. Highlights
included our first Gray Flycatcher (pretty rare for Barr), first, and
likely only for the season, Northern Waterthrush, and our second Brown
Thrasher. 37 birds of 17 species:

Today in both the afternoon and evening, I observed and attempted to
photograph an adult Sabine Gull at Smith reservoir, Costilla County. It has
the striking wing pattern of white, black and gray, and dark head with dark
bill tipped in yellow. I first saw it in flight and then saw it on water.
This morning was pretty windy and there were a few raindrops which kept
numbers lower than usual. I didn't catch any new species, but I caught the
second Red-naped Sapsucker of the season. The total was 37 new birds of 10
species.

One Long-tailed and one Parasitic Jaeger continue currently in SE part of
Reservoir.

now until next May due to construction at Chatfield State Park. There are

feeder around every 30 minutes. I moved the chairs closer to the feeder. Please

There are currently three jaegers at Pueblo reservoir, they appear to be two
LONG-TAILED and one PARASITIC. All at the east end of the reservoir.
