I find it interesting it would give such a response to Eastern Screech Owl.

I've seen the issue of facebook groups vs traditional email lists pop up in
many states, and twice went so far as sifting through some data to see if a
growing state Facebook group was associated with a decline in email list
posts. Here's the results:
Thanks.
Same bird.
Doesn't like to pose for pictures.

I was birding at cherry creek in the late afternoon and saw what was
probably the same bird. I got a poor photo with the head up.
It appears to have a snow like bill but is the size of a Ross’.

Hi all
I looked for the Gyrfalcon as well on Saturday. I did not find traveling
many roads. I ran into three other groups of birders who did not find as
well. Still a great day for "other" raptors ... :-) ... in my searching:
- Prairie Falcon - 4
- Merlin - 1
- American Kestrel - 6
Dave,
Thanks for your post!! I thought it was a Western based on the bill color
and facial markings but there were a lot of folks who thought it was an
Eastern.

being either species (Western and Eastern). At around 6:20 am, the bird
responded to an Eastern Screech-owl whinny on tape by
