There have been two swans seen at Stearns Lake (Boulder Co.) and the "Brainard
Drive Pond" (Broomfield Co.) for the past two days. There is a significant size
difference between the two, with the juvenile being much smaller and having a

station, right where they go in the nesting season all the time. But this

This morning, there were at least two large flocks of Bohemian Waxwings in
west Arapahoe County. Birders along the Big Dry Creek in Centennial
reported one, of about 200, moving along the Creek and landscaping trees in
the area.
I had the good luck to encounter another, along the High Line
I heard my first Pine Siskins of the winter early today! They were with a
flock of goldfinches, which are eating the last of my berries and thistle
from a feeder.
