Today I had the opportunity to study a reported pair of Black Phoebe at Lions
Open Space in northwest Fort Collins along the Poudre River, just south of
LaPorte, Colorado. These phoebes have generated some local controversy related
to genetic lineage or parentage. After studying them this aftern

A flock of between 60 and 80 Mountain Bluebirds were in 2 cottonwoods on
the back (north) side of the Wildlife Drive. On the trail to Havana Ponds,
however, were 3 female Bluebirds that looked like female Western
