I saw an Ash-throated Flycatcher this morning on my usual trip to Lowell
Ponds SWA, Adams County, I know it is out of range, but I got a good long
look, with binos, from about 3 yards and I had remembered to bring T.
Floyd's Birds of Colorado along. The first thing I noticed was

I saw a single American Dipper at about 10 am in Clear Creek, Adams County.
It was east, downstream, from the bike path bridge, east of Lowell Blvd.

Cnty. this morning at about 9:30 am. It was below the I-76 bridges, east of
Lowell. This is a regular spot for them in the winter,

I found an American Dipper in Clear Creek, east of Lowell Blvd. (Adams
County) at about 8:30 this morning. This is about the eighth year I've been
able to see Dippers near this location as the weaater gets cold. Last years
first sighting was Nov. 9, The earliest arrival was Sept.

I just saw four Cattle Egrets at the SW corner of Lowell Blvd. and 64th
Ave. in Adams Cty. They each had buffy crowns, back and breasts. This is
private property, observe from parked car or sidewalk.

Chaffee county, today. A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and a Broad-tailed
Hummingbird were both at Mt. Olivet cementery also at Buena Vista.

county, today. Fourteen other species seen are common in settled locations.

I relocated two American Dippers in Clear Creek east of Lowell Blvd. (Adams
Co.) this afternoon. They were both near the I-76 bridges. I didn't see any
interaction between them. The were about 100 yards apart.

I was at Crown Hill Open Space (Jeffco) today around noon and saw an
interesting hawk at the south side parking lot. It had a lighter head with
a dark eyeline, the beak was dark at tip. wings were reddish, but mottled.

of Lowell Blvd. One was just downstream of the Lowell Blvd. bridge. The
second was east of the bridge carrying the bike path across the creek.

When I headed out to look for a Dipper tonight, I was surprised by a
Ring-necked Pheasant rooster in my backyard in northwest Denver. He didn't
seen too upset by us. My wife got some pictures. Oh yeah, I saw a single
American Dipper in Clear Creek at Lowell Blvd (Adams).

(Adams County) this afternoon about 4 p.m. One was just east of Lowell, the
other was about half way to the I-76 bridges. I got to a spot where I could

An american Dipper continues in Clear Creek east of Lowell Blvd. in Adams
County. Today it was at the I-76 bridges at 4:39 pm. This seems to be the
favored spot this year. I also saw Mallards and Belted Kingfisher.

cty.) today between 4:20 and 4:30 pm. One was about half way between Lowell
and I-76 bridges, the other at I-76. Other birds seen Belted Kingfisher,
Black-capped Chickadee.
