Might be easier to park at the historic building East just before the Turn
into the parking lots at Valco ponds. There is a bridge that is north of
the parking lots there from the trail. Go over the bridge along the trail
north until you arrive at the gravel pit. Most likely need a scope.
I saw the 2 Trumpeter Swans Sept 7, 2020 while heading east on 1-70 at the
parking turn off that goes around the tunnel. Hopefully nothing has
happened to the other mate.

If you use The Waze app while driving around out there the areas that are
airport property are shaded gray, and will give everyone an idea of where
to expect patrol encounters and the boundaries.

Seen today at 6:15pm, feeders were down but came in to tree right were
everyone was standing, went back to SE brush, came back low on the ground
around bush north side of feeder pole and worked the feeder squirrel
barrier for seed and top of bird feeder post for seed.
