I don’t think this broadcast will do a damn thing. Neither women nor the broadcast was assertive enough to let the public know what is really going on. On Sep 21, 2023, at 9:42 PM, Nathan Pieplow wrote:Hi all,9News ran a segment on the Barr Lake situation with interviews from Tammy VerCauteren,
I really don’t think there is anything we can do. From what I understand, the destruction will go from somewhere along the dam through the banding station. I don’t think it will go through the nature preserve though. Let’s hope so. Given that part of the trail is along the railroad track and that
After a couple of months of rehab for a bum knee, I decided to go on a mountain bike ride around Barr Lake’s perimeter Saturday. Much to my dismay, the state park that I consider my home base, was being torn to shreds. I didn’t understand why until this thread. During my entire ride, Joni
Thank you for doing that, John. All of us should consider leaving our birding areas and trails cleaner than when we entered them. A good rule of thumb is to carry a trash bag with your birding gear. You can even make a non-disposable trash bag by attaching straps to an empty bag of bird
I had two groups fly over my house in Keenesburg (Weld County) yesterday

did not. They
drove on my horse pasture, opened gates they had no business opening, and
smashed a pipe that delivered water from my well to the horses’ water tank.

Based on what I am looking at in Sibley’s, my guess is that they are first
summer tundra swans. Their backs are pretty white compared to their heads and
necks, and they seem on the smaller side when compared to the ducks. But then
again, this is just a guess!

I live outside of Keenesburg on a small acreage. They are around my place all

As a 5-year widow, please don’t let Joe’s wife be forgotten. If you know her,
please keep in contact with her. If you don’t, then let her know all the kind
words you have in her husband’s memory.

When I pulled into my driveway this afternoon around 4 after a trip to
Greeley, I discovered a sage thrasher eating rose hips from one of my wild
rose bushes. It is definitely a new yard bird and lifer! bThe bird made my

broad-tailed, black-chinned, rufous and calliope. They are hanging out in
