I finally saw it, trying to drink from my fountain— an American Redstart.
It looks like a first year male or a female bird. Because it has been
singing, I assume it is a male.

There was a female American Redstart along the South Boulder Creek Trail
yesterday evening. I parked at the East Boulder Community Center and walked
from there to the trail. She was flitting around the cottonwood saplings on the
other side of the creek from the trail just before the first divers

This morning (Tuesday) I spotted a Northern Waterthrush at Sell's Lake then
a female American Redstart, a first of the year bird. There was another
push of Wilson's Warblers that have been absent for a few days.
Yellow-rumps still in good numbers.

the James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park. She probably won't stick

There was a very drab female AMERICAN REDSTART a short way up the Gregory
Canyon Trail this morning. She was hanging out near some of the limited water
in the creek bed.

morning, but it didn't stay long. A nice bird for the "yard."
