Greetings All
Hit a few reservoirs before the winds kicked up
Union (WELD) was still fabulously birdy, with many gulls, mergansers and
goldeneye.
Highlights there included:
3rd year (ongoing) GLAUCOUS GULL
4 Thayer's Gulls (3 adults, 1 juv)
1 PACIFIC LOON
1 Common Loon
Ish Reservoir
The rookeries are all still going strong, blue herons are on the nest; the
egrets have shown up in the last couple of days at the St Vrain SP and taken
most of the remaining empty nests (about 20).
Highland Lake and Ish Reservoir have been filled so much that the shoreline
trees are 5 feet deep
