The pair of Barrow's Goldeneye were present on Watson Lake in Bellvue from
230-330pm today until a Bald Eagle excited the masses. Got poor but
identifiable photos. Anyone looking for these birds should be aware that I saw
many Goldeneye on the Poudre River upstream from the dam. They were
This afternoon at Timnath reservoir, there was a very cooperative male Barrow's
Goldeneye on the south end of the reservoir at 2 p.m. (good photos).
I was also able to re-find the White-winged Scoter at Lagerman Reservoir
(Boulder County) earlier this morning, however it (and every bird on the

Headed out to find some birds on the plains today. Found 8 pairs of
Canvasbacks right off the bat at Wellington SWA. It was a good raptor
day. Several Golden Eagles (one on nest), Ferruginous Hawks, Rough-
legged Hawks, and Red-tailed Hawks. 2 Great Horned Owls on nest.
